Gary
and Peggy Cuozzo's son Chip inherited the good looks, intelligence
and athletic abilities of his parents. But on July 10, 1990, the
Cuozzos received a phone call from a Miami homicide detective, telling
them that Chip had been shot to death in a drug deal. Despite a
strong family background, and his father's fame as a former professional
football quarterback, Chip's promising life ended prematurely. Your
students will see the devastating power of peer pressure in this
heartbreaking story of a teenager battling insecurity. Your students
also will discover the lesson of ultimate hope that can overcome
human insecurity and poor choices.
